This was a '50 Ford convertible custom project I started in about 1995. I was still playing with the hawk quill pen and acrylic ink. The pinstriping above the headlights and on the C-pillar was done with a pearl pink. Paint was Duplicolor chrome yellow with clear pearl overlay.

I sold it to the same guy who had bought my Buick and Merc from the flames article. I had painted it and done some work on the interior but decided to sell it because of some issues I had with it.

I used the chopped Victoria top and back glass to form the roof, then cut in a smaller rear window. If you look closely at the roof you can see where the filler has shrunk a little.

The guy who bought it finished it nicely. He passed away though this year so his family has been selling off his collection. This was in a "junk box" that also included a nice-looking '54 Chevy sedan delivery.

I keep watching. Never know what might show up.
