I went to the hardware store the other day and saw this in the parking lot. One of my favorite cars in my favorite color for these cars. .......... *PICS* .....
Cool, a '71 Super Beetle, my first brand new car. First thing was put mags and fat tires on it. Got a ticket cause the rear tires stuck out beyond the fenders! *NM*

Bigger tail lights too IIRC. *NM*
Hello John. Have you taken Garfield out for a run yet? *NM*
It’s been a very cold Spring here so he hasn’t gone anywhere yet. *NM*
Larger engine displacement as well, I believe. *NM*
Guess what kids? That IS a '71 super beetle. The '71s had a flat windshield, no funky tail lights, but the biggest tell is the air vent behind the rear quarter window. *NM*
Had one from ’72, here in Europe they were called just 1302S *NM*
Any pics? *NM*
Not digital, but let me see what I can do. *NM*
I had a 68 ... purple but dark. No photos unfortunately. *NM*
