  • Cool, a '71 Super Beetle, my first brand new car. First thing was put mags and fat tires on it. Got a ticket cause the rear tires stuck out beyond the fenders! *NM*
    • Didn't Super Beetles have a curved windshield? *NM*
      • Super Beetles were a bit longer in fron, curved winshield and had fron strut suspension. *NM*
        • Bigger tail lights too IIRC. *NM*

      • Guess what kids? That IS a '71 super beetle. The '71s had a flat windshield, no funky tail lights, but the biggest tell is the air vent behind the rear quarter window. *NM*
        • Had one from ’72, here in Europe they were called just 1302S *NM*
