A local concrete company has a fleet of trailer mounted mixers. Most are powered by wet lines from the tractors, but they have one that is self powered . That is the one that I tried to model.
To build the model I used the AMT/ERTL Paystar 5000 Cement mixer kit and a glue bomb kit of the ERTL tri-axle gravel trailer.
I cut the trailer frame and added the drop section with some scrape parts box plastic
I also had to lengthen the drum by machining bulkheads and wrapping it with sheet styrene
I had to try to convert the Rex mixer to a London mixer, which is a direct hydraulic drive on the front of the drum not a rear chain drive. Although Teeswater uses MACK trucks I used the kit Paystar by shortening the wheel base a bit.
