They do indeed but at a cost... *NM*

You'll probably want to make sure you've got paint on all areas that come into contact with the vinyl parts. Moebius has had the occasional issue, but in my experience they do take care of their customers *NM*

Hi guys, have any one purchased the CHARIOT by MOEBIUS? I purchased one today and upon opening it, I found the Tires stuck to the Plastic body *NM*
I was just looking for one online. I was already aware of that "melt" issue from long ago. I haven't owned one yet. I was trying to get one for some parts I might be able to use. *NM*
At one point, Moebius acknowledged the problem and arranged for customers to get a set of tires which weren't supposed to attack the plastic. I still have both sets and the original set has dissolved into black goo. *NM*

What is this Chariot you speak of? *NM*
Danger, Will Robinson, Danger, Danger! *NM*
The tracked vehicle used on the show (based on a European ski resort vehicle) *NM*
ahhh...Thank you my friend. *NM*
I had never seen it...hence my cornfusion. *NM*
Mark, I've been Googling a good while trying to find images of a ski resort "bus" but couldn't find anything resembling the kit. Would you have info? *NM*
"Sno-cat". several companys make them , or did make them. The one used for the show was supposedly made by Thiokol . *NM*
Looks like it was based on an early '60s Thiocol based on the layout of the tracks. There were different versions with different numbers of wheels. *NM* *PIC*
So it looks like the tire is suppose to be stuck to the body. *NM*
One maybe but not all eight... LOL *NM*
Thanks Steve... Someone's actually built an exact replica of the Lost in Space show Chariot based on a 1964 Thiokol Snowcat... *LINK* *PIC*
this is a somewhat modifiesd version of the chariot *PIC*
Wow Carl, that's an amazing conversion... I have a few of those DG Production trucks... *NM*
This thingie here... *PIC*
Well thanks for nothing Curb... LOL... I just checked my kit and sure enough mine was damaged as you described.. Just sent an email to Moebius but I'm not very hopeful. My solution if they can't supply replacement parts I'll cast resin wheels to replace the styrene ones
Well... Someone at Moebius was working today. They have the replacement kit available and will accept my Paypal...
The original purchase of the kit wasn't cheap so with the replacement parts it will be even more so... *NM*
... Just paid the extra $32.47 via Paypal... To me, worth it to save an expensive kit. *NM*
Received an email today telling me that my replacement parts are on the way... Other than the tires, are the tracks replaced in the repair kit too? *NM*
Raymond, I askes for the tires, Tracks, lower body panel and 2 end panels as they were damaged by the tires.
I didn't specify any particular part. Moebius told me there was a replacement kit available so it may be only the offending vinyl parts, i.e.: tires and maybe tracks. Ideally the kit should be the complete bag that the tires and body parts came in. I'll let you know... *NM*
Just received the replacement parts I ordered from Moebius "The Chariot" , here's what I got...

BTW, I'm thinking (in an abundance of caution) that I'll line the rims with aluminum foil before I press the tires on even though I was told the new tires would not react with the styrene. *NM*
I received the replacement parts also. Think I'll cast a set of the tires. Might find a use for them sometime down the road.. *NM*
