A little big project

Just finished this 1/76 scale Diamond T 981 tractor and Rogers M19 trailer. A quick build with a few details added on. Windshield is clear sheet stock trimmed to fit and held in place with Testors clear lacquer. The rear window was done with Micro-clear. Rear view mirrors were made from a slice of brass rod and a common pin. I added some concrete ballast blocks for the body of the truck and made the rear ramps of the trailer so that they could be set in position for adding a load. Weathering was done with Doc O'Brien powders and Tamiya weathering colors. The truck also has winch cables, front and rear, making it a 981 rather than a 980 tractor. It has British markings. These rigs were made by the US to supplement the trucks of British make that were overtaxed trying to prevent a German invasion during WW II. They also were used by the US Army during the push to get supplies to the front after the Normandy invasion.
The kit was well detailed and a fun project to do since it was done in less than a week. The base is just a practice base on a piece of cardboard. It buckled even with my attempts to keep it flat with some weight. Another one will be easy enough.
