OK, thanks guys. I have both kits but the parts are kind of mixed . it looks like my sedan has the straight axle from the Nomad under it.

Do the AMT 55 Bel air and the 55 Nomad share the same chassis? ....or close enough anyway? *NM*
I think it is the same. Can't get to mine to check, but 99% sure. We will find out if it's not!!! *NM*
Mostly the same except for the section behind the rear axle. Wagons are different there then sedans and hardtops. *NM*
The spare tire lies flat in the Nomad. The fuel tank is crescent shaped to go around the tire well. *NM*
The kit piece changes somewhere forward of the rear wheels. Close examination will reveal the exact spot *NM*

There have been two versions of the sedan; one included the Nomad's drag front axle setup, unplated *NM*
I built the AMT '55 sedan as a gasser many years ago and used the Revell '56 Nomad chassis, fit right in. *NM*
Do you recall which of the issues had the Nomad straight axle parts?
The ones called "street machine". Those have the drag parts but no stock version *NM*
You would have thought that Round2 would create new box art for the gasser version given the re-issue of the Revell "Bad Man" kit that isn't the "Bad Man" gasser. and the way it seems to be selling
Tooling is presently tied up with the Nomad reissue *NM*
Okay, thanks, I know what to look for now. *NM*
