Re: Gene Cooper's,36 Chevy altered. Not arguing, but I'm not sure it was Coopers car.......
Guess I should have said "ex" Cooper Chevy altered....I think I read over on the HAMB that someone bought the car from Mr. Souza and is indeed in the process of restoring it. *NM*
I saw the thread, I didn't go all the way through it, it was mixed in with a lot of other Altered stuff
Re: Mid '70's drag race pics...I can't make out where either, but that is some race day crowd!
Thanks David!! *NM*
Looking over the pics, I can't say for sure, but I'm thinking that they may have been taken at Columbus (National Trail) *NM*
Wouldn't surprise me if you are right. Knowing how close it is to Dayton. *NM*
A billboard gives a clue that it likely is Columbus. *LINK*
I didn't notice the billboard, but I was there some time around 1980/81 and it looked quite similar to Dave's pics. *NM*
Love that era. Thanks *NM*
Back when the stands were packed for the drags and it did not hurt to have the Hurst Olds beauties on hand! Thank your for sharing his pics with us. *PIC*
Mid '70's drag race so missing that. *NM*
One of my all time favorite P/S *PIC*
