  • What caused the rust to be where it is? I can see faded paint in certain places but why are they where they are? Is it logical that the rust would occur that way? *NM*

      • I think the few spots that you have lightly sanded look a lot more in scale and realistic. The two spots on the forward part of the left front fender and the spot on the hood near the left windshield post look more realistic to me. The green "pebbles" seem too large and *PIC*

      • Maybe this will give some inspiration, a quick look at the old Baillon collection trove in France that was auctioned off several years ago. Some wonderful weathering of European classics. *LINK*
  • Remove the green crumbs. Looks like an avocado with blite. I think a smoother surface with the rust intact bleeding up from a thin or poor paintjob would look a little more realistic. *NM*
  • Doesn't most rust occur in "low spots" where water can gather? Surface rust happens from "wind damage: such as dirt and sand etc wearing the paint from wind action. In my opinion...pitted paint would not be on top of fenders, or on the top of certain areas. Just my 2 cents
    • It happens anywhere the metal is not protected and moisture can linger
