I've had several Chevys from the 30s, 40's, and 50's. They had vacuum wipers and vacuum powered windshield washer bottles. The rubber hoses on the washer bottle were connected in the same order.
Rubber hose from manifold to dash mounted switch.
Rubber hose from switch to washer bottle pump.
Rubber hose from washer bottle pump to squirters (mounted in the wiper arm towers or on the vehicle's cowl in front of windshield)
