have a question....anyone built the AMT Silhouette Show Car...I have # 31224 from 2001, instructions are not clear...does the rear window of the car go on the outside or from the inside of the body shell, it would seem to be from the inside but there is very little room

Inside. Isn't there a locator added to the window? *NM*
There is a flat edge around the bottom of the window that seems to locate it from the inside but it then makes the interior tub almost impossible to fit ...but it seems to look better than locating from the outside...anyone else have a comment?......lol. *NM*
Checked an instruction sheet...outside. The forward 1/16"or so tucks under the "roll bar loop" *NM*
I built one, probably 30 years ago (sold it probably 20 years ago), but I don't recall any issues with interior fit....
Here's a couple pics. One of the box art. Two of the actual car. *PIC*
Mike, thanks for those pics, I'm going with the inside, apart from anything else if on the outside it won't allow the trunk lid to open....just got to fiddle with it.........fun,fun......also got to work out how to do that fade paint.....lol......thanks guys. *NM*
Here's a boxart pic that shows the glass front and back. *LINK* *PIC*
The kit has a Ford FE engine. Later on the 1:1 got a 289 replacing the FE *NM*
Yeh, I've used the nailhead from the AMT 40 Coupe with a set of Hilborn stacks from alloy tube, Parts by Parks red wired dissy, Mike & Mark, I appreciate your help...thanks. *NM*
Mark, are you sure you aren't thinking of the El Matador?
No, the Silhouette also got a 289 after the FE. The picture of it with the scoop on top of the engine indicates that it has the 289 at that point *NM*
