  • I have a bottle of "Green Go" waiting. , One of my uncles has a '71 painted Limelight in the late '70s/early '80s. He always let me use his cars after I got my liscence, unfortunatly the Demon was replaced by a '68 Impala sedan by that time. *NM*
  • Beautiful cars.... I don't know what it was call but I had to order that hood scoop from Hart's Resin. The one with the two snorkels sitting side by side. *NM*
    • It is called a "snorkel scoop". *NM*
  • Note that most of these cars are '71s. Blaked out grille with vertical bars, and has the Devil incorporated into the scripts. The '72s has the mostly silver grille with horizontal slots, and the Devil has been removed from the scripts. *NM*
  • I always liked the looks of the "Sizzler" best. The body-color paint on the grille surround and the cool hood decal is what makes it unique. Alas, if you wanted that package the best available motor was a 318. *NM*

  • I am surprised they did not use the taillights style for the front grille, too. Rectangular box headlights with turn signals next to them and mesh behind the vertical bars would make a nice phantom build. The head lights could even be hidden with upward rotating panels like
    • Well, that would have required tooling, and a bunch of new parts. The Demon was a Plymouth Duster with a Dodge Dart front end on it. Quick and cheap way to create a different car. *NM*
    • Rectangular headlights weren't legal on U.S. vehicles in 1970. The Feds finally Oked them for '76.
      • I did not think of that. It still could be an idea for a custom model car build, though. *NM*
        • There was some usage of rectangular lights from Marchal or Cibie, in the early to mid '70s, on some showcars and customs. *NM*
