Back in the 50s and 60s...

...my great grandfather and great uncle had an egg ranch. They cut a '40 Ford Woody behind the windshield and door wing vent pillars to convert it from a station wagon to a ute. They used it to haul the eggs in egg crates from the packing houses (which were retired wooden freight train fruit and produce cars) to the loading dock. On my Dad's side of the family, my grandfather had a late 30s era Packard sedan that he cut the back of the body off of and built a wooden pick up truck bed. Neither were nearly as clean as the '40 Ford Woody model shown in Terry's post...
