Nice work!! Revell needs to do that off their Torino tooling. *NM*
Thanks Dave... I'm figuring since I just built this that Round2 will find the die and repop it... You may remember this, with my luck I'd be at the toll booth behind a Ford Pinto and in front of an Audi 5000 *NM*
Way to go Frank! *NM*
That’s based off the MPC race car kit using Revell parts? *NM*
That's the stock kit, which was issued for 1970 and 1971 *NM*
any time Frank ,it came out nice it was a built up annual *NM*
Nice, neat, clean, solid build. *NM*
Looks good Frank. I'll have to do mine sometime before I die. LOL *NM*
love it Frank!! *NM*
Thanks.... MAN where have you been. *NM*
That is one dark metallic blue! What paint is that? *NM*
It was an old Testor color True Blue Met... I think Boyd "Testor" had that color but the name escapes me. I really like it because it has different shades depending on the color primer you use. I may have enough for one more car. *NM*
I think it is, Boyd Black-N-Blue Pearl 52922 *NM*
I agree. This is over black primer. *NM* *PIC*
Lordy, Bill, that really pops. *NM*
Thanks everyone, Boyd Black-N-Blue Pearl 52922 over black may be the answer to a replica car color I need. Is it sold direct or through outlets? How do I find it? *NM*
You'll need to search around. It was an enamel paint discontinued when Testors was sold to Rustoleum. I'd bet eBay might yield some or there may be old stock in some hobby retailers.
You might want to consider Tamiya Deep Metallic Blue TS 53. It should give you similar results over a dark primer. *NM*
Boyd's Black-N-Blue Pearl 52922 was my first thought as well....gotta paint a model wity that color some day..TB *NM*
A kitbash of mine in that color....PIC
Given your last name you definitely should use it on something! Mine came out just a bit bluer than some of the other examples shown here. *NM* *PIC*
