Bet it feels good to finish a project, especially one that looks so good!

Finally, after a roughly 2 1/2 year dry spell, something new off the bench here at marty's Speed and Machine (A subsidiary of WTH Motorsports).... I put the finishing touches on the '50 Chevy shop truck.... *PICS*

Leaves me wondering if your archnemesis is building a shop truck now.

Very nice Chebby Marty! Yay for you getting something finished as well! *NM*
When it looks that good who needs an engine. *NM*
Great build, totally could have been a real shop truck in the '50s. Shades of Winfield's '35 Ford shop truck *NM*
Beautiful truck!! *NM*
Nice work Marty, I could happily live with it......perfect colour choice......nice. *NM*
That’s one spiffy Chevy pickup, Marty! *NM*
Shes a beaut Marty, one of my favorites, I drove a hot rod 50 Chevy pick up back in the 70's for a daily driver, a 327 with a custom interior , those were the days.... *NM*
Nice clean machine, Marty! Love the color! *NM*
Sweeeet! *NM*
Nice!! *NM*

Actually, we spent the day texting back and forth about his current project..... Meanwhile, I have to figure out my next victim. *NM*
Sharp clean work with a great color combo. Nice! *NM*
Nice paint! *NM*
Wide whites and gold metalflake always says "60's" to me! Cool truck. *NM*
Nice build! *NM*
Never tried that Duplicolor 1K clear. Thoughts, anybody?? *NM*
David Dale turned me on to this stuff.... Super easy to use. A bit slower to dry, than say Tamiya clear, but seems a bit more durable too. I highly recommend it! *NM*
The downside to this clear it you can not paint over it with either acrylic lacquer or Tamiya paint (don't know about other types). *PIC*
Thanks for the input guys, and thanks, Dave for the warning. Got "religion" after your PIC. *NM*
QUESTIONS: How many coats? Time between coats? Fully cured--a week? *NM*
I've only ever shot one coat. A couple of days (depending on humidity) should work. *NM*
I only shot the single coat. Dried enough for vigorous handling after about 36 hours. Took about a week until you could no longer smell it. *NM*
Thanks, guys. Gonna have to try it. *NM*
Pretty spiffy, Marty. *NM*
WOW!! How great is that!! *NM*
That bad boy is big time rockin' in my book...CONGRATS Marty! TB *NM*
Thanks, Tim.... Amazing what a difference a little paint and stance can do for a vehicle.... lol *NM*
