I like Dupli-color semi gloss LAQUER. Maybe a tick to glossy for you but I use it for that. *NM*
I am a big fan of Tamiya TS6, Matt and TS29 Semi, depending on how much sheen you are after *NM*
I agree with both Dave and Len. I use them both. *NM*
I also use Tamiya--good stuff. Vallejo & Gunze offer an even better option. They're thinner--don't hide detail, lay down beautifully in thin coats--1 or 2 passes. *NM*
Late to the show, but both Krylon Satin Black and Rustoleum Canyon Black both do well, Rustoleum's more of a sheen than the Krylon--great for chassis, engine compartments, and vinyl *NM*
