  • Very nice! Did you do the side spear as one piece of BMF and then paint the stripe or as two pieces of the BMF over just the spear's metal edges on the spray painted body sides? I have a '61 Bel Air on my wish list with a similar trim spear to create although it does not
    • For the side spear, I covered both the top and bottom strip with one wide strip of BMF, burninshed it with a microfiber cloth, then cut out the center. I was going to pain the insert white, but thought it looked good with the green steelies. *NM*

      • Hmm... That suggests the method for the '61 Chevy metal spear with a white stripe might be paint the body, then the stripe, then BMF it, then trim the outer and inner edges of the perimeter metal? That could give clean edges for both colors. Thanks for the idea! *NM*
