I've used sandpaper for asphalt too. Would like to know where you got the floor decal? *NM*

Opinions needed. The surface of my diorama is covered with a concrete floor decal. I want to put an asphalt decal on the left for a car and some parts. This is the largest asphalt decal avail. Is having concrete behind the asphalt a real world occurrence? ........ *PIC* ....

Looks like you are starting a garage diorama of sorts.
The asphalt is on the outside of the building. The asphalt is an outside lot where a car will be sitting. In between the 2 walls is the inside garage area. *NM*
Never mind. The more that I look at this piece of so called asphalt print, the less it looks like asphalt. I'll find another material to use that'll cover the whole area on the left side of the building. *NM*
Try laying down a piece of fine grit black or gray sandpaper. It would be about the right scale at 800 grit. *NM*
Second the "sandpaper as asphalt" comment. Even a 1000 or 1200 grit would look like smoother finish coat asphalt *NM*
For asphalt I have used sand paper painted flat black or dark grey. That gives you the texture. *NM*
