Hard to explain, but the '55-56 Vickys are not trying so hard to impress. They feel very much of a piece. Nicely decorated and very distinctive.

'57-'58-'59 are overcooked by half, even though they were very successful commercially.

I guess the world is coming around on the Starliners, which had the space ship vibe down big time.
