Also, use the really thin CA--capillary action pulls it into the cut better--doesn't leave much of a scar, if any. *NM*

My wife gets REALLY hot when I do this. Luckily, it rarely happens anymore (and I don't tell her about the super glue--I cover it with a band aid) *NM*

What brand, style or whatever straight blade is the sharpest to use in an x-acto knife? Is there something with a point that's better / sharper than an x-acto #11 blade? I use a generic brand and the tip doesn't cut as nicely as I would like it to. Thanks ! *NM*
You can make them all sharper by using a very fine hone. If you need razor-blade sharp, consider buying some surgical scalpels. *NM*
I switched over to surgical scapels for the really precise fine cutting a few years ago. *NM*
This might help. *NM* *LINK*
That's a really good tutorial. The part about coloring the blades black is one I've used for years. Thanks for that link. *NM*
I agree with Wayne. Scalpels work better--cleaner cuts with more control as you cut. (Also leaves real clean slice when you cut yourself--really impresses the ER Doc) *NM*
I find it makes it easier to superglue the cut since that's about all they do and charge you $200. *NM*
Yeah, be super careful with those scalpels. Really good for BMF or decals, but not too good for much else except self-mutilation. *NM*
I did that on a nasty finger cut once, super gluing it closed, and it healed beautifully. No scar either. *NM*

X-Acto makes a premium blade that is sharper and stays sharp longer. A sharpening stone will help keep them sharp even longer *NM*
