• when building a car to show in box stock class, is it OK to use putty to fill the seams where 2 parts meet? Examples: rear end housings, engine blocks, transmissions, etc. I know that you can use putty/filler to fix body flaws like sink marks and ejector pin marks. Thanks. *NM*
  • In my experience, filling seams is permissable. I believe the purpose of the class is to see what can be done without adding extra parts and detail items. *NM*

  • In most contests, filling seams and removing imperfections is okay. Altering the shape of a part is verboten *NM*
    • I agree !!! Kinda in the name you are not allowed to stick on anything that does not come in the kit but if you choose to "clean" up the parts (mold lines / imperfections / filling seams / ejections marks) that is perfectly legal including paint and detail painting. *NM*
