Tiny wooden "clothes pin with springs" style can be glued to wooden skewers. Available in the crafts section of crafty stores at a couple of bucks for 50 or so. The gripping end of them or even the regular sized ones can be whittled to just about any shape you want. *PIC* *PIC*

My little sister glues them to hand made Christmas tree ornaments for mounting clips. Some dollar stores carry them cheap. They could easily be glued to wooden skewers and a coping saw or hobby knife is all you would need to modify the end.

- I put unshrunk shrink tubing over the teeth, that way you can use the clips with or without the tubing. *NM*
