Tamiya Smoke works very well. It adds depth and remains glossy. *NM*

Just as with grille, it depends on the depth and the surface. Beyond thinned paint and panel liner, I've had luck with unthinned both Tamiya and craft acrylic flat and satin black paint *NM*
