I checked a '70 annual against an AMT/Ertl issue (latest one I have)...
In Response To: Was the front suspension peice/crossmember under the engine changed? Seems to me the original was more substantial and attached to the frame instead of just the flat piece that just attaches to the springs like it is now ? *NM* ()

...same piece. The chassis in the '70 dates back to the original '67 annual kits. The suspension piece in it. and the goofy "for 1968" custom, have more depth and attaches to the frame. I do not have a 1969 annual. so I can't pin down when the change was made--
