Did you mean to say no roll-up side windows? Because they had soft tops. No factory hardtops yet, though. They came in '56. *NM*

It is. There were 300 built - all white with red interiors, no top. *NM*

Drove alongside a '53(?) Corvette covertable, earlier today. Pearl white. Gorgeous. Right out of the showroom!! *NM*
I am not a Corvette fan, so I'm kinda guessing on the year. *NM*
Isn't that the year they first came out? *NM*

No, I was a little too terse . . . I meant that they had no hardtops, as you said - those came along in '56. The '53s only had snap-in plastic windows; no roll-ups.. *NM*
This one is a NCRS gold certified 1953. #300 of 300 *LINK*
The one I drove alongside looked exactly like that, but the "white" looked more "pearlescent" (sp?). Soon as I saw it(from behind), I told the wife, "Now THERE, is some "tall money"!! Learned that expression from the prison inmates. *NM*
'53s were available in any color as long as it was Polo White... LOL *NM*
Because they were often the first fiberglass cars seen by the general public, many mistakenly assumed that white was the only color that fiberglass could be. They didn’t reckon that they had been painted *NM*
Maybe it was the Kindig CF-1? First one produced was pearl white with red interior. Hard to find pics of the white one though, but you get the idea... modern version of '53. *PIC*
Kindig's Number 1 (CF1-001; the white one with red interior) lives here in Scottsdale. *NM*
As does Kindig's Number 7 (CF1-007; deep blue with gold trim and gold-tan interior). I personally think 007 is the most beautiful one of all (I've personally seen 6 of the first 7). *NM*
