...the models in the museum would be considered a display in a larger venue, not an independent museum on their own. And finding knowledgeable curators to take care of all that would be difficult in many places.

Lots of conversations going on, but if it's left as-is, who's going to see it? Without the contest, there's not a lot of reason to travel there. (With due respect to a delightful city...)
