• Quick question for all you guys who redo old builds. PIC How do you soften the glue so you can remove the windows.
  • Other than 'Very Carefully' I think I remember that soaking in mineral oil can work. But I have never tried it so I'm unsure. *NM*

  • Well a few things which I think is hit and miss. 1). Q-tip soaked in Mineral Spirits run along the glued area, may take several times and slowly pry up. 2). Dip in water and freeze and slowly pry apart. Just a few. *NM*
    • Lately I've BMF it front and back paint it scribe it around and peel off the BMF.... especially on convertibles. *NM*
  • Hardware store mineral spirits and a cheap brush, and a pry tool

    • Same here. If you are careful with your cuts you can use the old windshield as a buck. You may have to add a lip to carry the new "glass" Not too hard to do. PIC
  • I have a CA glue remover called UN-CURE don't know if it would work on other types of glue though. *NM*
