I bought that issue solely for that article. It's a beautiful thing, and there's plenty of good work in that model. It's awe inspiring to say the least.

I think for me, the price and complexity of such a build is still a little over my budget and skill level, unfortunately. I don't mind tweaking the body or adapting a chassis, but I don't have the ability to vacuumform glass or the motivation/skill level to make an interior, yet.

That said, when you tackle model projects that you can be pretty sure the kit manufacturers will never touch, you have to do what you have to do. I may save up my pennies to try to tackle one of these at some point. I see Too Many Projects has a '68 Buick Wildcat on their list, which is a subject I have long wanted to have a model of... so you never know.
