After an evening of looking through impenetrable online references, I'm not a lot farther along seeking good color reference for early M-Bs (well, if the '55 is considered early.)

Silver is the "it" color, but it is so common, there's not a lot of interest there for me.

I'd love a blue-gray hue, and it looks like there are a few, but before dropping a dime on really expensive paint, I'd like to be fairly sure of what I'm getting into.

FWIW, it is on the Italieri 1/16 Gullwing that I bought in a weak moment at the LHS - any feedback on the kit and any watchouts is welcome.
