Ford was four-coil '65 to whenever they stopped running full size bodies

In fact, that H-M chassis became the template for the modern (ish) GN race car, until radial tires made the rear steer cars virtually un-drivable.

That '65 chassis was copied nearly note for note from the '61-2 Pontiac / Olds chassis, which knocked the wind out of a lot of sails in Deer-Burn at the competitive teardown. The first '65 Ford Galaxie mechanical prototypes were based on cut up and re-configured '63 Catalinas that went to glory in service of Mr. Ford and his desire to meet or beat GM by any means necessary.
