Nice story love the junker part because I've had my share of them. No embellish..... All true maybe I forgot a detail or two but nothing to take away from story. Always tell my son I was lucky I happen to take the right fork in the road. *NM*

POSTING W/ Steve Milbury yesterday I just dug these out looking for other pictures and I thought they would be interesting to post these older pictures of mine. PIX and thanks for looking
Cool pics Frank. Ya know, pictures like those really are the most valuable things we own. They're moments in your life, part of your past and they, unlike any other possession can never be replaced if something happened to them, *NM*
I like these old personal pictures from long ago. *NM*
Frank, 1973, were you about age 16? *NM*
17, I was born in Feb 56... picture I was a Jr in HS Marcy was a senior *NM*
I agree with all the others!! *NM*
Great pictures and commentary...
That little house that the car is in front of reminds me of the houses in our old neighborhood. I had those in mind when we built the one we're in now. *NM*
Those pics are great time capsules! And that Vette is Boss. *PIC*
Yes! The customizing of the day was great... Spent many Saturday's at Rockford Auto Parts walking around the yard looking for things you can use. That's when you could walk around in the yard and you could find 75% of your parts. *NM*
EXAMPLE: Found the 71 GP door handles, 71 Caprice grille, GP front turn signals, 74 Vette side louvers, 74 Camaro mirrors, Monza seats, and many other parts. *NM*
Nice car and cool story. Did anyone else notice the 1968 Coronet 500 or R/T on the left in the driveway? *NM*
Yes I knew the family and that car belong to the dad. The son was a couple of years behind me matter a fact he didn't drive yet. *NM*
We all grew up together in the same area. *NM*
I thought it was a 68 Charger... *NM*
Great pics! High school junior with a nearly-new Duster 340... you had it made! :-) *NM*
Here is how that happen... someone caused me to wreck my 66 Coronet, The insurance paid my mom $600, she kept that... I worked two jobs in the summer months and saved $5 or $600. The summer going into Jr year I had enough credits to graduate early knowing that and **INSIDE*
Frank...I should have known you were a Duster 340 guy! Let me tell you, some very influential people in the auto industry had Duster 340's (including a Group VP of Design for one of the Big 3), as did I (a new 1973 Duster 340). I had to wait until after HS graduation to...
Thanks.... I loved that Duster. Wifey gets tired of me saying I would like to have it back whenever we see one driving on the road probably going to a car show. Not many of them around anymore. *NM*
Man Mark I could go on about those days... When I went off to College/Vol Tech School in Quincy IL I bought my first Vette. I took drafting, (which is pretty much the job I retired from but it was on computer now 38 yr there. ***INSIDE***
I have a kind of similar story. Did graduate college, then spent 20+ years programming CNC machines. Turned into full-blown Manufacturing Engineer. Still working at similar job, but not programming. Just Unigraphics 3D modeling and stuff. It's nearly all been fun! *NM*
Love the stories, so please feel free to embellish.
