Spotlight Hobbies

I am too busy Saturday to post any so here are two of his Vette kits I've done.

I found this old Monogram Tom Daniel California Street Vette on the web several years ago and while it was built and had virtually no paint, it did have a lot of glue applied in certain places and was missing parts or had the wrong parts with it. I was originally going to do a box stock restoration but since certain key parts were missing I decided to do a restomod build instead. I added a big block Chevy 396 engine from Revell's '66 Chevelle wagon, wheels and tires from Pegasus, modified seats from a Gremlin kit, modified sidepipes from Monogram's old '70 Chevelle, and some scratchbuilt and modified parts from my parts bins to complete the project. Paint color is Fiery Orange metallic by Testors and I'm very pleased with the results.

I also built a Vette SS Hatchback kit not long after the Coupe. I swapped some ARII/Otaki slots on rubber BFG's and hinged the hatch piece. Otherwise I think it was built box stock.

Thanks for looking and enjoy your weekend guys!
