No, the engines in Cup and O'Reily have to be made by the same manufactuer as the body. If you ever looked at what they are running today, obviously they are not production-based engines. However, they are all different. And no the blocks are not all the same. Nobody tells

teams what bore & stroke to run. It has to be 358 cu. in. maximum, that's all. Why do you think Ford motors are all built by Yates or Roush, GMs are mostly built by Hendrick or RCR, and Toyotas are all built by TRD? Because they are all unique. The Dodge NASCAR engines were produced by Penske in their own shop. If NASCAR all of a sudden lets Dodge run a GM engine, that would just be blasphemous. NASCAR didn't let Toyota come in and run GM or Ford engines. They had to develop their own engine. I'm all for Dodge/Mopar coming back, but they should not be given special treatment. They left in 2012 after winning the Cup championship. They could be a front runner today if they had kept that going. It was disgusting to all us Dodge fans when they quit like that. Stellantis is the no.2 auto maker in the world, and they can spend whatever is necessary to make this happe the right way!<
