• Anyone else see the post on Instagram by Atlantis about the Tom Daniel snap construction kits? They look interesting. Wonder when the last time these were out. I don't ever recall seeing these before. They said to watch for these in 4-5 weeks. *NM*
  • Saw the post. Pete/Atlantis said the last issue was 1971 and the tooling looked untouch like new. He did a post where he opened the tooling for the first time since 1971 and was surprised! *NM*
  • Which kits are those? *NM*
    • If memory serves, they are caricatures of a bulldozer, dump truck and steamshovel *NM*
      • Thanks! I had some of that series as a kid. Fond memories! *NM*
      • Imagine from Monogram 1972 catalog.... *NM* *PIC*
        • So cool. I believe it was the steamshovel I had, but that was a long time ago. I do remember the whole series, plus others that were out around then. *NM*
          • I remember, when I was in middle school, my best friend's younger brother had the bulldozer and steam shovel... As well as a bunch of MPC Zingers, but honestly, those types of kits never really interested me.
            • Even as a kid I always had a preference for models of ‘real’ cars, but there was something about these that struck a chord with me.
              • AS a kid I thought these were stupid. Now, I get it. Now they are cool. The Zingers would be cool to see too. *NM*
                • LOL… I liked the Zingers too! Mostly I liked to build models of race cars that l had seen locally and on TV.
  • I'm looking forward to them, especially the Dozer! I work for a Cat dealership so i may paint them all to resemble early Caterpillar equipment. *NM*
