I was at an antique mall west of Fort Worth earlier this year, and it had some model car kits for sale. AThe problem was that the boxes were taped shut, and they seemed to indicate there was a built model inside them, but...

Judging by the weight, and how the box felt under a 'shake test", I wondered if the model was cocooned in a paper towel or plastic bag 'sarcophagus'...

Didn't buy any of them (offhand, there was a 'late model' Lindberg Mustang concept car reissue, a Revellogram reissue '65 Mustang fastback, and a few other Revellogram Corvettes and Mustangs...six kits in total)

Hey, I gotta see inside the kit before cracking open the wallet. Internet or online photos, also, aren't good enough, although I have bought from Mecum Auctions online before, though.
