...to use non-acetone nail polish remover and a cotton ball or swab. Keep rubbing and working the painted area until the paint dissolves and strips away.
It's messy and it takes time, but it works on resin wonderfully well. I even did a story about it for Car Modeler magazine one time.
Here are two examples of paint disasters that I saved using it.
On this Plymouth the spray can decided to spit blue paint out in long strings. Made a total mess of things.
On this I didn't prep it well. When I peeled up the tape for the second color, the paint peeled up with it.
Both times non-acetone nail polish removed and a cotton ball saved the day. By the way, do this in a well-ventilated area. That nail polish remover REEKS!
