The GT40s were scheduled to appear at Goodwood this year, so someone at Magneto thought it was time to do a 'reunion' on that race's anniversary.
Pebble Beach race history. People forget the car show had a road course race element in the early days, Phil Hill, Carroll Shelby, and others have victories there.
This issue's 50 list is interesting. They show no favoritism to any one builder or country...or era (A Model A restorod built for a recent F1 champ is on the list...never seen a Model A before with 'wooden' artillery wheels...). Think the 'newest' car on the list is Chip Foose's 'Hemisfear', I did a quick perusal--of the listed cars, I remembered that 1/24 or 1/25 scale kits exist to do at least 11 cars out of the box, possibly more. At least two diecasts of cars that have no kit derivative (Hemisfear is one of them, I think), and one on the list is available in both diecast and kit form. Wonder if there's a diecast of the Doane Spencer '32 Ford...
Some other stuff inside, too
