I still have them. Over the years I've bought some because of specific artists. I got out mostly because I didn't like changes from the '80s carrying through today- 1) the cultural direction story lines were taking, 2) the constant rewriting and changing of histories and characters. You couldn't depend on what you knew. The wonderful fun and innocence of comics were gone. (which is why I still build models, those things are still there, still fun) The advent of selling multiple cover versions was just a blatant money grab, draining comic lovers money. Early on I was an artist, had thought a career drawing comics is what I wanted- but a disastrous first marriage destroyed that, so drawing comics, mostly for myself, is just a hobby. My kids ask for and display my original work.
