...its rear bumper lacks the recess for the license plate, a modification probably done for the funny car. If you look closely at the built custom version on that box, you can see that it was built from a test shot; the rear wheel openings weren't changed back to stock yet.
The Lesney street machine issue might have that bumper also, the later Ertl issues definitely have the license plate recess put back in.
