I seem to remember that someone did a story on the "new" 1984 NASCAR Thunderbird from Monogram. In it, there was a photo of a modified wheelback on which the mounting hole was "oblonged" in order to lower the stance. Do I remember that correctly? Was it necessary to make changes so the model sat lower?

Anybody else remember that?
