Well, it's booming thunder here in Hooterville-by-the-Sea, and well, the mind wanders.

One that surfaced recently: saw the handsome lithiographed R2 tins on the shelf at the LHS - and thought, "well dangalang, wouldn't that have been the greatest lunchbox of all times?"

Has anyone done an actual lunchbox conversion of one of the tins? Looks like if you could buy the hinges, clasps and handle tit would be about a ten minute job to slam it all togehter.

Might raise a few eyebrows at the shop if the culture was not creative in some fashion.

But, on the other hand, I could just as easily imagine "I used to do those all the time, I think there is a big box of them at Mom's... I'll look next time I'm there."
