My first impressions on airbrushing acrylic craft paint.

The GOOD: The paint is readily available, inexpensive, with a large selection of colors to choose from.
No odor, cleans up with soap and water.
The BAD: It's tricky to work with. Proper thinning is, as with any paint, crucial. But even at 18 psi, you
just can't hose it on, it runs like Usain Bolt at the Olympics.
The UGLY: First try was just okay (learning curve) but it looked dead flat, and blotchy. Continuing on with
being El Cheapo Modeler, I tried the old Future floor shine clearcoat, El Grande Error. Even blotchier.
The SAVE: 20 minutes in the purple pond, scrub scrub, and the experiment resets.
The OPINION: Might be okay for shelf models, but don't expect contest worthy paint jobs. UToob
dudes painting spoons is a far cry from actually painting a car body.
Research continues with better clearcoat....
