I got a notice from a courier last week that a package was on the way from the Museum of American Speed. I had no idea what it was, so I emailed the museum. While I was waiting for a reply, the package arrived. It was a model car box with a 1949 Mercury custom in it...from the Jairus Watson collection. I had placed a bid at the auction but I did not get notified that I had won. This is a very pleasant surprise. :) It will need some work, what model doesn't, to complete it and I am going to ask a fiend to do some special paint on it. Then I will bring it to the next NNL at the museum. :) Until then, here is what Jairus started...enjoy :)
