• Got my weekend build finished! Yes Mr. Speed is done...
  • R/S, nice work on both.......BTW did you know that the stock AMT 53 Stude kit at least once had the Mr Speed decals, can't recall which reissue & can't recall whether the sheet was the same as the funny car version. .......oh I wish there was an AMT History book....lol. *NM*
    • You are right Andy, the original MR. SPEED from 1965, had the car on box top, many including thought at first it was a drag car, instead of a salt flat racer. It has been released a few times in the retro box, with decals, and many times without, they got a lot miles out of *NM*

          • Thanks, Andy... The paint is actually not a color shift, but rather an old school fade done using three different shades of the old Pactra R/C paints, decanted and shot over MM Brass Metalizer. *NM*
    • The first (1965) issue had those decals, as did a (rare) 1967 reboxing and the funny car. All used the same sheet *NM*
