from the Avenger kit............... I just checked my Model Kit Advert book & both the original IMC VW kit and the subsequent Avenger kit both could be built factory stock OR as an "Altered" drag car with a blown 426 Hemi........I know I did build the original VW kit as the Altered drag car and some time later, maybe in the 1970's get the Avenger kit & remember being disappointed in it as I thought it was a variation of the GT40 cars.........what has happened to the Avenger body I can only guess....probably thrown away or chopped up for something else..........anyway if you want what I have you are welcome to it, just email your address & I'll mail what I have......I'm in Australia so it will take a couple of weeks to get to you but I'm never going to use this stuff so you are welcome to it.......email is [email protected] regards Andy Douglas

- Unfortunately that kit and the IMC VW Beetle are joined at the hip, and the Beetle disappeared after the Japanese Union issue *NM*

    - Avenger was molded in green (I have one, and others I have seen were also green). Beetle was any of several varieties of red *NM*
      - I picked up an UNBUILT IMC Beetle kit at a thrift store 20 or so years ago. It is molded in red. *NM*
        
        Never saw an IMC issue in anything other than red, but there were various shades. Same goes for IMC Little Red Wagon kits: a few shades of red, with the occasional white one *NM*
        
        I had that Avenger kit, it was bright green plastic. I still have misc parts from it in my junk boxes. *NM*
        
        Looked cool til I started to build it... back in the box think it was sold off *NM*
        
        Yeh, as I mentioned I thought it had some link to the GT40's till I started to build it & realised it wasn't.....lol, have had the remains for a long time, tho' no body bits, RKS is welcome to whats left. *NM*
- I'd settle for a good quality 3D conversion kit that works with the PL, Revell, or Tamiya Beetles *NM*
