sprue glue isn't the best especially if you use lacquer paint. I use the baking soda crazy glue combo for attaching

splash pans. I like being able to install the pans before painting. I use lacquer thinner or tamiya super thin to install the pan, and after it has set up I pack baking soda into the back of the seam and hit it with crazy glue.
