• I'm in a little bit of a quandary about the background. PICs My reason to build it was to have something more interesting than a sheet behind my models when I photograph them. In the first picture you see the base and background are sperate pieces.
  • Dirt !!! Dirt !!! Dirt Terry !!! Living here in Colorado most of the places that have a "rock wall" that you can pull over to is almost always a dirt cutout parking area. Mabe gravel ?? *NM*
    • I lived up there for several years and parked at a lot of turnouts. On this one my original plan was to paint parking lines but if it is going to be use for multiple backgrounds then that limits what I can do. *NM*
  • Keep the wall separate and make an assortment of bases. Have a bit of transition suitable for the diffent types - a bit of dirt alongside of tje weathered asphalt of a turnout, a little greenery with a dark dirt turnout, some scraggly tumbleweds with light sandy soil. That

    • The main point I was trying to make is to have an appropriate transition to help avoid having a stark edge where they meet. *NM*
      • I got that. I'm just having trouble trying to figure out how to attach that transition to the background so when it is setting on the base it looks natural but when l pick it up the base is flat and open. *NM*
