Take some of the material you are using to create the rock face. Set the rock face on the base. Take a piece of Saran Wrap or other similar material and place it against the rock face just touching the base. Then take some of your material and place it on the base against the wrap. After it hardens take the rock face away and remove the wrap. Now paint the new sculpted portion the same as the rock face. Should blend right in with no seam showing. Sprinkle a little sand there also and set it with some white glue and water mix. Just my two cents. AAAHHHHGGGG They don't make pennies any more!
