You need to get the very thin urethane tape. McMaster is one source. Let me see if I can dig up my info on the right stuff. You just stick it down on some clean glass, cut some thin strips with an xacto knife, and then apply to your model (or glass). Peel the
backing off, and them carefully place your glass into the model. It's like super-stength contact cement. You don't get a second chance! Then use some clear enamel or acrylic, or canopy cement to really lock it in permanently.
