Model Car Museum :) *LINK*

Well, thus ends one of the best model car events I have ever seen! No, the number of people was not as high as some shows nor the number of models on the NNL display tables. But when you add the Model Car Museum to a large building filled with race cars, hot rods, customs, antiques, engines and sooooo much more, well, just add it all up :) Then throw in a 'Cars & Coffee' Saturday morning with a few hundred cars. A few acres or 'Carmania'!

I finally met some people that I have known online for a long time. Jim Keeler. Chuck Darnell. Rod Maskiw. Dan Doane. Plus some I have known from other events...Chip Walmsley, Gary Kulchock, Doug Whyte...if I name them all, we'll be here a while. How far did I travel? 1200 miles. Others even more, like the couple from Australia!

If you had thought about going and changed your mind because you wanted to see if this first one would work...it worked! :)

I did make a few stops along the way there and home. Last Monday I was at The Gilmore and took some photographs of the Bortz Collection. Last Tuesday I visited the Studebaker Museum. Wednesday I had lunch at the 'World's Biggest Truck Stop' and on my way home yesterday, I took photographs of their truck museum. Follow the link and see what I saw. What you missed was a museum full of model and car atmosphere, people like you from so many places, old friends and new friends, a weekend that cannot be repeated as it was the first one. :)
