2017 NNL Cult Theme Vintage Beach Racing: Great ideas for your Vintage Beach Racing projects in 2026:

Vintage Beach Racing, inspired by events like The Race of the Gentlemen and other similar events in the UK and Europe, was the "Cult Theme" for the 2017 NNL Nationals. Tom Woodruff created several vintage diorama pieces that added flavor to the Cult Theme Display.

Coverage starts out with the Diorama scene, then one photo of each of the entries for both the "Vintage Beach Racing Cult Theme, followed by the "Friends of Vintage Beach Racing" section. Additional photos of all entries follow. Posed in front of the "Vintage Beach Racing" diorama backdrops created by Tom Woodruff are the theme model cars constructed by Tom and John Strick, who came up with the idea of "Vintage Beach Racing" as the 2017 NNL Cult Theme. The theme was publicly announced last December 22, 2016 on the Spotlight Hobbies and Model Cars Mag Forum message boards, to give builders plenty of time to construct new models for the Cult Theme table.
